We have the largest grouping of social scientists in the UK university sector, rooted in 14 discipline-focused and interdisciplinary departments and units. REF 2014 confirmed Oxford as the UK powerhouse for research in the social sciences, where Oxford accounted for more world-leading (4*) research than any other institution. We have an extensive portfolio of external funders and collaborators, with competitively-awarded external research income exceeding £40million per year.
