Professor Shazia Choudhry named as the UK's candidate for the UN's Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women

Shazia Choudhry, Professor in the Faculty of Law and Hackney Fellow in Law at Wadham College, has been named as the UK's candidate for the UN's Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) for the term 2025 to 2028.

The Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) is the body of independent experts that monitors implementation of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women.
